Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine for Skydivers

Recovery, whole-body, and mind support

Skydiving places real demands on the body. Hard openings, long jump days, travel, and adrenaline cycles can take a toll over time.

I offer acupuncture and Chinese medicine to help jumpers recover, regulate their nervous system, and stay physically resilient in the sport.

Care for the skydiving community by a skydiver.

  • Your neck, shoulders, or back take longer to bounce back.

  • You’re starting the day strong, but hitting the wall earlier.

  • Your body is exhausted after jumping, but your nervous system apparently missed the memo.

  • Sleep gets weird after a high-volume weekend.

  • Travel, DZ food, missed meals, heat, or stress wreck your digestion.

  • Headaches or tension build over the course of a training weekend.

  • You need more recovery between jump days than you used to.

  • You’re technically “fine,” but you can tell you’re running closer to your limit.

Maybe you’ve noticed…

Why Chinese Medicine?

The goal isn’t just to recover from the last jump. It’s to have enough left for the next one.

Skydiving asks a lot of your body, jump after jump. Every load involves adrenaline and nervous system activation, rapid pressure changes, and physical impact from openings and landings and none of that fully resets on its own, especially across a long jump day or a full season.

Over time, that adds up: slower recovery, earlier fatigue, a nervous system that stays keyed up long after the last load. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine work by helping your body actually come back down: regulating the nervous system, supporting recovery, and rebuilding the capacity you need to keep jumping well.

How I Support Skydivers

Treatment is built around what your body actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Most jumpers do best with a combination of therapies working together.

Helps your body recover faster between jumps, ease tension from hard openings and long days, and bring your nervous system back down after repeated adrenaline spikes.

Acupuncture

Helps release tension, improve circulation, and speed recovery after hard openings or long days on the load.

Cupping

Custom formulas built around your specific needs: recovery, sleep, digestion, mood, or how you’re handling stress and fatigue across a jump season.

Herbal Medicine

Specialized ear acupuncture that supports nervous system regulation and helps take the edge off when you’re feeling wired, overstimulated, or slow to wind down after jumping.

Auricular Therapy

Targeted injections delivered at specific points to support energy, recovery, and overall function on demanding jump days. Options include B12 for energy, and homeopathic injectables to support pain, inflammation, muscle spasm, and immune function.

Acupoint Injection Therapy

Practical dietary guidance to support recovery, energy, and digestion built for the reality of jump-day schedules, not an idealized routine you’ll never follow.

Nutrition & Food Energetics
Vibroacoustic Therapy

Therapeutic sound vibration that helps calm an overactive nervous system, supports mood regulation, sleep, and cognitive function, and promotes deeper, more complete recovery.

On-Site at Skydive City

I’m offering periodic on-site sessions at the DZ, with the goal of making care easy to access for jumpers and staff without cutting into your day.

Schedule and frequency will grow based on interest — reach out if you’d like to be looped in on upcoming dates.

Meet Dr. Ashley Sidell

I’m Ash, a licensed Acupuncture Physician and clinical herbalist, and founder of Cypress Grove Acupuncture. I’m also part of the skydiving community myself. Through my practice of acupuncture and herbal medicine, I’ve discovered how deeply the principles of Chinese medicine align with what skydiving demands: presence, resilience, nervous system regulation, and the ability to trust your body under pressure. I understand both what the sport asks of you and what it takes to stay capable over time.
